Homemade cards

How shocking is it, that last year we bought no new cards to send at Christmas, yet we still have a stash left that means we have only had to make the odd few. Were we stockpiling for some kind of card related emergency? Or just in the habit of buying more each year ‘just in case’ there weren’t enough in the loft left over from the year before?

Whatever the reason, we have some that were indeed left over, and then had to make a few as well. Which was actually quite good fun.
We had kept most of the cards that we got sent last year, so several were just the front from an old card glued onto a new blank card-is that tight, or genius…?!

And then I used some cookie cutters as templates to draw Christmas trees and stars onto some old sheet music and comics, and stuck these onto blank cards-I was quite chuffed with these-simple yet effective-at least that is what I am calling them ;)

And in case you need anymore inspiration for a special card for a special someone, here is a button Christmas tree I did last year!

BigSmall used potato stamps (and the obligatory copious amounts of glitter) to create these ‘works of art’ for his classmates
